ScreenParts

ScreenParts is a very simple program to take screenshots of any area of your screen. It uses hardly any memory and can run in the background from your system tray to use only when needed.

There aren't many options to highlight, but the few that are included give you more than enough to handle images quickly. For example, you can send screenshots to the clipboard to paste wherever you want in a matter of seconds. And if you want to keep the screenshots they can be saved to the location of your choice. You can also automatically give them names, adding a number or the date to each of them.

Compared to other programs of this type ScreenParts works with quite an extensive variety of formats. You can export images in PNG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, JPEG, EMF, WMF, and EXIF.

It's also worth mentioning that the screenshot's skin is customizable, since you can apply the colors and opacity of your choice. It also supports keyboard shortcuts (CTRL + ALT + S by default). If you use this tool frequently you can set it to run automatically when Windows starts up.
